Well, .protocol files are cascaded, just like .desktop ones. So you can 
disable the ioslave using a new .protocol file.

The Kiosk way would be to disable the action "list" on the settings:/ 
URLs. Add to your kdeglobals, section [KDE URL Restrictions] a new rule 
with contents:

	list,,,,settings,,,false
