[Kde-kiosk] How to remove default icons from desktop

How can I remove the "default" icons from the user's desktop?  I have
gone into the kiosk admin tool and under desktop icons and I set it up
so that only the trash can is visible but then when I log in as the
user they have some defauly icons like "My Computer" "Printer"
"Network".

I am using SuSe 9.1 if that matters.
