[Kde-kiosk] Removing Kicker From Desktop

I have been in the process on "kiosking", things are going
well. KDE 3.1 is great.

However, I can NOT for the life of me just remove "kicker"
from the desktop permenantly. I have played with the startKDE only to end up 
not being able to login or just hanging. I have even removed permissions and 
deleted the kicker file in /usr/bin but the panel still comes up some how??? 
Any Ideas?
