Hm, strange. Probably its one of the major drawbacks of XSLT: Slightly 
different behaviour of the processors. Even different release numbers, behave 
different. Especially my usage of the exslt (http://exlt.org) extension to 
xslt seems to produce those incompabilities. Maybe I should remove all the 
dependencies on exslt, but this would mean a greater rewrite and a lot of 
ugly code, so I hesitate to do this. Maybe I find once more an easy 
workaround for this new problem, keep your fingers crossed ;)  Until tomorrow 
I have little bit time to look at it. 

My installed version of xsltproc:
kesrith@~/qtjava(21) > xsltproc -version
Using libxml 20511, libxslt 10033 and libexslt 722
xsltproc was compiled against libxml 20511, libxslt 10033 and libexslt 722
libxslt 10033 was compiled against libxml 20511
libexslt 722 was compiled against libxml 20511
