[KDE-India] configuring EVDO

Hi

I have a BSNL EVDO 3g modem. I wish to configure it in Fedora 12 using KDE.
I tried configuring kppp to detect the modem using
/dev/ttyUSB0 , but it was not able to recognize it.

Has anyone configured it or has pointers in doing so?(using kppp)
