My comments. Big part seems covered which is nice. Thanks for it!
On batch part/try and run, that's clearly where I would look for but I
understand it depends on people.

About metadata, I believe hugin was adding some. Depending on user, let them,
remove them, add user-configurable one, maybe with some of the settings used
for generation.
For example to search all 360° pano.
