I can confirm this bug. I've tested with several folder paths and the "Failed
to save image" message always comes when the path includes a non-ascii
character. I'm using .nef raw files for all the tests.

This is particularly annoying for the spanish speaking community since the
images folder in spanish is called "Imágenes", so that "á" affects all the
conversions within such important folder.

System: Fedora XFCE 20 with DIgiKam and kipi-plugins 4.6.0-1.
