The new failure is addressed in Bug 336835 - cannot export to flickr anymore.
Please do not close this issue as the original failure mode (see posts 1-4) is
still there.
The only work-around i've seen for the original failure mode is to reboot the
PC - although calling that a work-around is stretching things a little.
