I forgot to add that it used to work before: I already successfully created
panorama using Digikam embedded feature; although I cannot remember what
version it was (all I can tell is that it was in May 2012, either with the
standard Ubuntu's Digikam, or with the Digikam shipped then by Phillip5's
Ubuntu repository https://launchpad.net/~philip5/+archive/extra).
