I'm just currious.

rung kdebugdialog, and turn on KIPI, kipi-plugins, and digiKam debug space.

After that go to a console and run digiKam. What do you see at startup, when
plugins are loaded ?

Note : of course, tool is enabled in digiKam setup/Kipi-plugins page ?
