Bugfix on panorama

 - Address partly 2) in Brad's comment #19 from bug #286018: adding
   tooltips, and fixing connections

Bugfixes in binaryiface / binarysearch

 - From Brad's comment #16 in bug #286018, issues 1), 3) and 4) are solved.
 - Also, a small optimization is introduced in binaryiface (to not recheck
   a directory already added to the plugin path)
