Does this happen if you do the same thing from the true Hugin gui or only with
the panorama tool in Digikam? If so it's a Hugin bug I have to look into for my
packages.
I just updated Hugin to the at the moment latest version 2011.4.0 on my PPA. I
see that you use that one. Hugin have introduced a new vertical feature
detection tool. Not sure if that effect the panorama plugin with Digikam.
Latest version have this signature:
$ cpfind --version
Hugin's cpfind 2011.4.0.cf9be9344356
