I have been able to reproduce the issue with kipi-plugins 1.0.0 and exiv2
0.18.2.
exiv2-0.18.2-2.fc12.i686
kipi-plugins-1.0.0-1.fc12.i686

The EXIF data is significantly different between the two tools and many tags
simply aren't present in the version created with dngconverter.
