One of the tools digikam is missing is a healer which enables the user to
easily remove spots from pictures. gimp provides such a tool. The user simply
selects an area that looks similar to the area where the spot is and then
clicks on the spot to remove the unwanted colour and replace it by the source
areas colour pattern.
