I can confirm the resolution of the original problem :)

Well, i had another problem with dngconverter creating 2 temporal files and not
removing the dummy one and not renaming the hidden ".kipi********" file. But
this is maybe related to my mix of ubuntu packages and manual compiled ones in
my test environment.

Tested with a bunch of raw files and everything works as expected.
Despite being or not "the best solution" (because of removing exif data), it
should serve to close this bug.
