Relax...

I use Mandriva too, to develop and hack. I never needs to reboot my computer.

So the problem is outside...

Anyway, no need to digiKam 1.0.0. kipi-plugins 0.7.0 is enough at all.

And i have a solution for you. Do you know that a stand alone DNGConverter
exist. It's just the plugins running alone without kipi host application. This
is the solution for you.
