Summary: RW2 converter broken for low light images
           Product: kipiplugins
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Ubuntu Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: rawconverter
        AssignedTo: kde-imaging at kde.org
        ReportedBy: matze at welwarsky.de

Version: svn r946212 (using KDE 4.2.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

images of dark sky and stars are developed mainly into noise, bright objects
(like moon) are completely blown out, complete loss of detail. Camera JPGs are
fine, same image developed with ufraw is similar to camera JPGs.

Noise can be treated with blackpoint adjustment, but clipped highlights can not
be recovered.
