Now I'm thinking about developing powerful scanning application as a Google
Summer of Code project. Here is list of possible features:

* Image gallery (somewhat like in Kooka but without keeping images in RAM)
* Batch scanning with confirmation dialog or with fixed time interval
* Export to multi-page PDF and DejaVu
* Send scanned images to printer, to E-Mail
* React to buttons on the scanner (there is "scanbuttond" which seems to do
it, maybe it's possible to reuse it's code... or something)

I'll be glad to hear any comments.

Best regards,
Arseniy
