Gandalf,
I don't think it is possible to filter the images by rating, but I fixed the
plugin in current SVN so that it finally accepts a selection of images again.

What you can do now is filter by rating, select all images (CTRL+A) and start
the Advanced Slideshow plugin.

I will close this report, if you don't like this solution, feel free to re-open
it again. But I guess it is simply not possible to tell KIPI that we filter the
albums in digiKam at the moment.
