started digikam from console and got the same error
(no matter what fields i use, one or several...same error)
XMP Toolkit error 102: Composite nodes can't have values

funny, i have two libexiv2 
 exiv2-4 : ver 0.17.1-1  [unstabe]  
 exiv2-5 : ver 0.18-1    [experimental] 

on debian sid (updated)
