Renaming the whole plugin structure did it for me, but I'm not sure if it was
really necessary, maybe I just forgot to call kbuilsycoca4 while testing :-(

anoosh,
have you compiled kipi-plugins by yourself? If so, you might need to run
kbuildsycoca4 while running a KDE session.
If the plugin appears now, it was some old cache that made problems.
