The menu I'm referring to is for Gwenview 1.4.2 (KDE 3.5.10) under View ->
Colours, and I've confirmed that when Gwenview saves changes to the image (such
as rotation, etc.) then brightness, gamma, etc. changes made through this menu
are not saved.

If Gwenview can save changes to rotation, it would be nice if it could also
save changes to brightness, contrast, etc. that it allows users to make as
well.

Perhaps the Gwenview shipping with KDE 4.1 has fixed this - I don't have a KDE
4 system set up at the moment.
