[Kde-imaging] DigiKam / Kipi Export -- Order of Photos

I have a bunch of photos I want to export to a DVD so I can show them to
friend on their DVD player. I tried to export a bunch of photos from a
folder in Digikam to a DVD, using the "Album, Export, Archive to DVD/CD"
function in Digikam.

Problem is, I had the photos sorted by date in DigiKam. However, when
exported to DVD, they showed up sorted alphabetically, which of course
completely messed up the order. I checked again, and there was nothing in
Digikam/Kipi Export indicating what the sort order would (or should, or
could) be in the 'Export" dialogue.

Is there a way to export photos to a cd/dvd in a specific order, e.g.,
chronological rather than alphabetical, order? Or, for that matter, is there
a way to CHOOSE the order photos are exported in?

This is for +100 photos, so if I have to rename them all to get them in the
right order, would I have to rename them in alphanumeric order with leading
three digit numbers? e.g.,
"001 - Picture of Betsy in St.Louis"
"002 - Picture of Betsy in Kansas City"
etc.

I did a search and (surprisingly) could not find anything about this in the
wiki or help pages. Seems to me that as often as not you would want photos
be chronological, rather than alphabetical, when setting them up for a
slideshow.

(And, please, no comments about the pros or cons of boring my friends with
100+ vacation photos. I can handle my friends ;) )
