This is indeed annoying
(we went through this already some time ago,
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=143200 ...)

It would be great if something would be done about this
(I can't - I don't know anyting about configure&Co....)

Maybe you could file a bug-report so that it is not forgotten...
