I recommend you to update your kipi-plugins to the current 0.1.3-rc release. I 
have fixed a lot of problem with RAW converter and improved this tool. Look

Note : there also 2 new plugins avaialble : Metadata Edit plugin (Exif, IPTC) 
and an GPS Edit/Correlator.
