[Kde-imaging] What does sink mean in the context of kipiplugin_sync

Hi,

i'm just translating kipiplugin_sync into german and found there a few 
strings using the word "sink". Of course i know a few translations of 
thatr word, but none of them seems to fit.

Could somebody explain to me, what is meant by it in this context?

Here are the strings...
- Sinks
- No sink selected!
-  Are you sure you want to remove this sink? All synchronisaton 
settings will be lost. You cannot undo this action.
- Remove Sink?
