Summary: Wish: Let libkdcraw use raw decoding options when
                    generating thumbnails
           Product: kipiplugins
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Ubuntu Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kde-imaging kde org
ReportedBy: nilsst invalid ed ntnu no

Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.6)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

It would be nice if there was an option in the libkdcraw configuration widget to apply the raw decoding options to thumbnail extraction.

I think this option would make sense for people (like me) that experience vast differences between thumbnails and full size images.

I my case the camera provides a thumbnail in the raw file which libkdcraw extracts and uses, unfortunately the thumb is too dark to be useful.

If I let libkdcraw create the thumbnail from the raw file, using loadHalfPreview(), the results are much more to my liking.
