Gerhard,

We have see this problem on your computer during previous week end.

Also, i suspect a similar problem into multithreaded image loader from digiKam core implemented by Marcel, witch can cause large latency on gui. This is not yet fixed in digiKam. I waiting your feedback about this plugin fix for that.
