Unfortunately I don't own a scanner, but the difference to making a screenshot is tiny, and I see nothing in that code that could result in any error.

The only thing I can think of is if the scanned image was a null reference, as fixed with bug 114519.

I'll mark it as fixed now, believing it is the same issue as that bug.

Please let me know if it still occurs for you after this fix.
