Ok let's see if it is my patch or not try to remove my patch and change the line with -S 420mpeg2 as 
below:
$PPMTOY4M_BIN -v $VERBOSE -n $NBFRAMETOTAL -F $IMAGES_SEC_FORMAT -S 420mpeg2 |

What happens?
