I use it too, and i saw some problem with gwenview, but this week
I had little time to investigate...
Anyway the problem was seen on cooker (the developer version of mandriva)
that is by now the 2006.0.3 (beta)

The reporters said they used k3b-0.12.3-9 and last comment says

So yes i beleave we'll have problems... I'll try to download your old patch
to use --nofork option and patch the kipi-plugins rpm, but imo if some distros
think the best way to use k3b is as unique application well it's not only their
problem. But i maybe wrong....
