unfortunately can't do that. the kipi-plugins are designed to be modal,
i.e block access to host app while they are acting. this is because there
is no dynamic communication between the app and the plugins, i.e. plugins
don't get informed if any of the files/comments/metadata they are
working on are changed by the host app.

one possible way to get over this limitation would be to extend the image
selector dialog to provide options to edit the captions (and few other
metainfo) (which is sent back to the host app)
