Restrictions on access to websvn.kde.org

Hi all,
Recently we've experienced a significant increase in illegitimate traffic
to WebSVN which has caused server issues (specifically the build up of over
20+ gigabytes of PO files which exhausted free space in addition to causing
significant load).
This has disrupted websvn.kde.org and has prevented it from automatically
updating itself - something which is not desirable.
It is suspected that these requests are being generated by automated
indexers gathering information for processing in AI models.
In response to this we have now put in place protective blocks which will
require the completion of in-browser checks if you are located in China or
use certain providers for your internet connection.
The affected providers are:
4134 - CHINANET-BACKBONE No.31,
197540 - NETCUP-AS netcup GmbH
4837 - CHINA169-BACKBONE CHINA UNICOM China169 Backbone
45102 - ALIBABA-CN-NET Alibaba US Technology Co., Ltd.
9808 - CHINAMOBILE-CN China Mobile Communications Group Co., Ltd.
If you are affected by these measures it is recommended you ensure that
websvn.kde.org is whitelisted for any adblockers / script blockers /
privacy addons / etc you have installed as these may interfere with the
completion of the in-browser checks.
If you are not located in China it is recommended to avoid the use of a VPN
when accessing websvn.kde.org to ensure you are not caught by these checks.
Regards,
Ben Cooksley
