Thanks for forwarding the report. Unfortunately the German Digikam translation
is unmaintained at the moment.

Still, if a missing translation crashes an application, it's something that has
to be fixed in the application. Digikam probably crashes with several other
languages as well, so please consider this a bug in Digikam itself.
