Actually it seems to be a kde-qt-problem. Fedora (15, not 16) applies the patch
with the name 0012-Add-context-to-tr-calls-in-QShortcut.patch, taken from
kde-qt (look into the SRPM). If qt is compiled with this patch, kcalc shows the
misbehaviour described here. If compiled without, everything is working
correctly.
Slackware - which I use with self-compiled KDE - has the same problem, because
it uses kde-qt. Qt compiled with this patch reverted, it's all OK on Slackware,
too.
So it seems it is no really gettext-related, nor a translation-issue.
