I don't know the right way to fix:
connect(adapter, SIGNAL(devicesChanged(QList<Device*>)), this, SLOT(adapterDevicesChanged()));

maybe this way?
connect(adapter, SIGNAL(deviceChanged(Device*)), this, SLOT(adapterDevicesChanged()));
