I am not running any VMs. I tried that on two systems: one Kubuntu 10.10 with 
KDE SC 4.6 and another one with Kubuntu 10.04 and the KDE 4.5.1.
A friend of mine tried the same on a Debian with manually installed KDE, and 
he has the same problem.

I think that dosen't make it better, right? :)
