Suggestion for next love project

Hi,
I would like to suggest KTorrent as option for the next gardening love project. I couldn't really find any preferred way of making suggestions to the gardening team on the community page so I hope this is acceptable.
The reason I think KTorrent needs some love is that the most recent version, both tagged in git and available in distro's, is version 4.3.1 which is from January 2013. Since then, development seems to have continued and from the bug tracker I can see that fixes are made. These fixes never make it to the users though, because no new releases seem to be made. This causes many bug reports to be reopened or just reported again since users expect that if they use the latest version from their distribution and still get a bug that was reported as fixed 1 or 2 years ago, that it's not actually fixed in their version. Until a new release makes it to the users, these already-fixed problems will continue to be considered as unfixed by the users and reported as such. I hope that the gardening team can help get a new release made for KTorrent or at least communicate to users why exactly a new release can't be made yet. This should also allow a lot of the re-reported bug reports to be closed.
4.3.1 tag in git: http://quickgit.kde.org/?p=ktorrent.git&a=commit&h=ea98d7b9277885c74eebb47cceb932770dc41f61
ubuntu version: http://packages.ubuntu.com/wily/ktorrent
bug that's fixed but not available to users: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=315239
I'm not sure how (or if) this ties in to a KF5-based Application port, but hopefully we can get another KDE4 release before that happens. Kind regards,
Riaas
