There is a specific problem, that we do not take some actions due to
lack of decision. I will put the proposal to reorganize aside, because
in this case (as you pointed out) we DID act, after the IRC meeting.
But take the cases of Mancala inclusion, and Kbattleship renaming.
As I mentioned in the previous email, I think we need to define goals
for the module, and these might guide us so these decisions are easy
to do. Stefan is right to remember that we did it for 4.0, defining a
minimal set of features needed for games to make the transition.
Manpower is a problem. But I think that having no active coordination
is something that is a bigger problem at this time, as people have
energy but are not sure if they can just sit down and do something.
Looking back, I think our decision to make frequent IRC meetings was
THE best one during the 4.0 phase. It created a sense of community,
and provided a forum for decisions. Maybe we can schedule one next
week to discuss the issue of coordination and goals?
I will be at Akademy (just confirmed it) during the first four days as well.
