[Kde-games-devel] Kolf Art?

Well at least we know Stefan is okay, minus the missing internet access.  :P

Admittedly the build process wasn't as cut and dry as it seemed since I was
missing several -dev libraries that prevented the Make command from doing
anything.  But after a while I got it compile and Make Install, and although
it still complained of missing Optional dependencies the game definitely
runs.

We're gravy in that respect!  :)

At the moment there are only 3 test environment courses, the latter two of
which seem to have no collission detection.  Still, the entire UI holds
enormous potential (particularly the terrain generator and 3D view), so I'm
more excited than ever to see the direction in which this game goes.

Before I begin making textures, though, I noticed that all the sample
bitmaps used seem to be intended to be photorealistic terrain.  Is that what
you want or are those simply the only textures you had available?

SVG graphics are capable of those kind of photorealistic textures (albeit at
a processing cost), but they are better suited to more airy and whimsical
graphics similar to those found in the other KDE games.

Let me know how you feel in this respect.
