I just wanted to clarify that I wasn't necessarily pushing to get this
in trunk. It's more a case of me deciding to share it in case others
are interested. If Fela (the maintainer) decides its a worthwhile
change, great! If not, that's fine too.

I'd also like to point out that the patch is only 8 lines and changes
only a couple integers, so it's unlikely to cause too many surprises.
