Well, you have three options:
* Wait a bit, after all two weeks is not THAT much.
* Evaluate alternatives like kboard
* If the developer does not answers and alternatives don't fulfill your needs 
you can either
  - Join the alive alternative development to make it suit you
  - Fork knights code into AndreasChess and fix things there.

That assuming you can develop, if not i think you are out of luck.
