I can confirm that a forceful upgrade solves the problem, as suggested by
Evgenii Khramtsov and Tino Engel; even if some KDE related ports and some
meta-ports (like kde and plasma6-plasma) are actually missing from latest,
there is no need to wait for them.

That said, just in case these informations can be relevant (probably not
anymore), I tried recompiling all kf6* packages, then
x11/plasma6-layer-shell-qt, then x11-wm/plasma6-kwayland, and finally
plasma6-kwin (in this order) but still the Wayland session didn't work.
