What do you mean by "KDE"? The last K Desktop Environment release was 3.5.10.
It was removed from ports more than a decade ago. KDE project now ships Plasma
Desktop (https://kde.org/plasma-desktop/) and tons of applications:
https://apps.kde.org/
If you need just minimal DE install x11/plasma6-desktop port.
Install any of plasma6-* packages if you need more functionally or use
x11/plasma6-plasma meta-port. If you want Plasma Desktop with basic set of KDE
apps (sort of kdebase back in KDE 3 days) use x11/kde meta-port.

There is x11/kde-gear metaport for KDE applications. This port is a legacy from
KDE 3 times. It has not been synced for a long time and now it covers around
70%
(or less) of all KDE applications ported to FreeBSD. Very likely nobody needs
them all at once anyway, so the usefulness of this meta- port is questionable.
Use 'pkg search -S origin kde-applications' and install whatever port you need.
Shall we close PR now?
