1. Copied the patch from the raw unified link to file patch in /usr/ports
2. Since I copied from Chrome I had to remove 2 trailing backspaces at line 20
and 47.
3. cd /usr/ports/x11/sddm
4. make extract
5. cd /usr/ports
6. git apply --check patch
7. git apply patch
8. cd /usr/ports/x11/sddm
9. make && make reinstall
10. reboot

Switch greeter to plasma wayland
log in
