I would like to propose creating a separate meta Port for KDE, similar to
x11/gnome-lite—namely x11/kde-lite—instead of streamlining the existing x11/kde
Port. For example, some software such as games and databases is not installed
as part of x11/gnome-lite. For x11/gnome, this is controlled by flavors.
