The problem history is beyond my control because I installed this 13 for
desktop use.

I have ntpdate_enable="YES" in rc.conf, so the OS time is correct. However, the
KDE desktop time is not, and I'm not sure why KDE doesn't use the system time
when the OS and desktop timezone are identical.
