Can confirm that. Created a local user "hund" that could unlock. Problem seems
only to exist with non-local users -> AD/winbind in my case. Perhaps kcheckpass
first tries /etc/passwd and PAM only after that?

Would as well be a reason that the error wasn´t discovered earlier as it works
in most cases...
