KDE Plasma Kickoff does not work after libxmlb update

I had already reinstalled appstream-glib and libxmlb and it didn't help :(

Interestingly, the starter (kickoff) in one of my 14.0 boxes works again 
as expected. Probably it is due to some other combination of 
dependencies ...
