There's been an update by tcberner@ two days ago, so this issue can be closed.

@Ivan: I've certainly tested the update to 6.0.2 before posting the patches
here, and regularly use qtcreator - debugging wasn't "completely" broken for
me. Could you elaborate on the symptoms?

Funny thing is, I have used a local update to 7.0.0 for about two weeks now,
and held it back because I found it _less_ stable than 6.0.2. :-)

It works fine when launched, but quickly deteriorates when editing sources. For
some files then all background processing seems to fail, like formatting,
sanity checks and debugging breakpoints. Close and reopen qtcreator helps.

My hope is that there will be a bugfix release soon, there's a lot of activity
in the 7.0 branch:
